Highights

Public baths were built in the 1st century AD and were used until the 4th century. They were more than just a place for cleansing the body, as they functioned as a center of social and cultural life. Its facilities had a changing room, hot, warm and cold rooms, a gym, recreation and rest areas. Men and women used to be separated. There are remains of latrines that were destroyed to build an outdoor swimming pool. Reproductions of some objects are also exhibited. that the Romans used to take to the baths as towels, combs, containers for oils and perfumes, etc.

This museum is one of the 4 museums that is part of the archaeological route of the Caesaraugusta museums. In this museum, inaugurated in 1999, the remains of the ancient Roman baths that were located between the Forum and the Theater. Of the various rooms they had, only remains of latrines and a porticoed swimming pool remain.
