The museum is located in the Palace of the Counts of Argillo, declared a National Monument in 1943 and Asset of Cultural Interest. Gargallo's work consists  of sculptures, masks, cardboard and engravings and drawings. His sculpture is of great expressive drama and introduces emptiness as volume. Gargallo had a good friendship with Picasso to whom he dedicated his work. some sculptural portraits. Inside the museum, the patio where the signs of the zodiac appear on the striking wooden eaves stands out. The museum has a documentation center open to the public who wishes to consult it.
