Located at the entrance to the whaling port of Pasaia, 3km from San Sebastián, more than a museum it is an imaginative and open space where you can learn about Basque maritime history. In front of the public the carpenters and naval craftsmen build the replica of the historic San Juan whaler, almost 30 meters long, built in this same port in 1563 and sunk on the coast of Canada. The construction of this ship is sponsored by UNESCO. Among others, the international riverside carpentry school, the naval modeling workshop, the navigation school and the Auzolan volunteer group participate in this museum. The experience can be completed  sailing through the bay of Pasaia
