Highights

We start with the Madrid of the Austrias. The Royal Palace and the Almudena Cathedral will be the first ones we discover from our tuk tuk. Two very significant places and from whose space the creating the village. One of the busiest places is the San Miguel Market, here You can buy fresh products or have some of the most original tapas. From here We enter the Barrio de la Latina and we will highlight the Basilica of San Francisco el Grande, one of the most impressive temples due to its magnificent dome and GoyA's paintings. and Zurbarán that it houses within its walls. We continue and arrive at the Barrio de las Letras, a neighborhood different from the rest for its peculiar shops and the “flavor” of its streets. The Plaza del Ángel, the Casa de Cervantes and the Lope de Vega House Museum are essential in this tour. From here We will go down to the Paseo del Prado, passing through the Plaza de las Cortes, whose main element is the Congress of Deputies, with its lions at the entrance. And a little further on is the Neptune Fountain where the victories of the Atlético de Madrid soccer team are celebrated. The Prado Museum is one of the most important art galleries in the world. Very close by is the Church of San Jerónimo el Real where the heirs to the crown of Spain were sworn in. TheEl Retiro Park,considered the lungs of the city. The famous Puerta de Alcalá, one of the oldest and from here to Plaza Colón an open place and stage for exhibitions and large events. Later we will find the Cibeles Fountain, symbol of the city and where the followers of the Real Madrid soccer team celebrate their victories. Behind it the Town Hall of the town, the Palacio de Cibeles, in front of it the Banco de España, and we end up in the Gran Ví a, one of the most emblematic avenues of the city, a leisure center and countless shops.

This tour is made through the most charming and attractive neighborhoods in Madrid. For approximately an hour and a half, you will get to know the so-called Barrio de las Letras because it is where great writers of the Spanish Golden Age, such as Cervantes and Lope de Vega, lived. The Barrio de los Austrias, which flourished by the presence of the court of the Habsburg dynasty for two centuries. A comfortable and fun tour through the Madrid of yesteryear, discovering its history and anecdotes.
