The project of the works is due to the royal architect Enrique Egas. Its imposing Plateresque style façade stands out, where the medallions of the Catholic kings appear and a window that belongs to the Royal Apartment, where the kings stayed when they came to Santiago. The decoration with the shields of Castile, the balconies, the cornice with its grotesque gargoyles and the different sculptures of saints make this parador a unique building. Inside it houses four wonderful patios and a pointed chapel declared a National Monument in 1912 whose transept is accessed through a iron fence full of filigree
