This building was built between 1754 and 1758 on the site where 3 houses were located, of which the council demolished two. It was used as a home and property of the Church. On the ground floor there were four spaces where silversmiths sold their products. After the confiscation of 1855, the for several until 2008 it was acquired by the Santiago Consortium that began its restoration. This house closes the aesthetics of the Praza das Praterías with its magnificent baroque façade. Since January 9, 2012, the Casa do Cabido has reopened as part of the the museum network of Santiago de Compostela
