Highights

Located in the convent of San Domingos de Bonaval founded in the 13th century by Santo Domingo de Guzmán and rebuilt in the 17th-18th centuries. He opened Its doors opened in 1976. The triple helical staircase that connects the cloister with the different floors of the building stands out. Its permanent exhibition shows various aspects of Galician culture; traditional crafts, aspects of the world of the sea, regional costumes, architecture, archeology , Galician painting and sculpture. The Gothic style church is sometimes used for exhibitions and inside is the Pantheon of Illustrious Gallegos where important figures of Galician culture are buried; politicians, sculptors or the poetess Rosalía de Castro
