Check in at our office, join a one-hour walking tour through the narrow streets of Madrid's historic center and discover iconic places you can't miss. Enjoy Plaza de la Villa, the famous Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol and Plaza de Oriente. Next, board one of our air-conditioned buses for a ride through the city. Remember to bring your camera or Smartphone!
Leave from the Plaza de Oriente towards the magnificent Puerta de Toledo. Did you know that its construction dates back to the Napoleonic occupation era? Back on the bus you will be able to see the oldest bridge in Madrid and, next to the Manzanares River, you will have spectacular views of the Royal Palace and the Almudena Cathedral. Cross Calle Mayor towards Puerta del Sol and Las Cortes on the way to Paseo del Prado. Admire the architecture of the heart of old Madrid arriving at the Barrio de las Letras.
Among the different places of interest that you will see on board the bus are the Cibeles fountain, where Real Madrid fans celebrate their team's victories, and the Puerta de Alcalá, the most famous of the ancient five gates that gave access to Madrid. Right after the visit we will walk to the Synagogue of Santa Maria la Blanca. Originally built as a synagogue, it was expropriated and converted into a synagogue. in a church only 211 years after opening its doors. Today, it is a fantastic Mudejar style museum that you will visit. Admire the world-famous painting by El Greco, The Burial of the Count of Orgaz, in the Church of Santo Tomé. Did you know that Greco himself lived in this wonderful city?
The guided tour will end in front of the Toledo Cathedral, considered the most important Gothic style in Spain. Afterwards, you will have free time to explore Toledo on your own before returning to Madrid.
