Welcome to the Las Ventas Bullring! The most important thing in the world. He who gives everything and takes everything away. The greatest reward for those who manage to leave through the Big Door and a challenge for those who barely consider it.
The Plaza de Las Ventas was built in 1929 on the land called Las Ventas del Espíritu Santo, from which it is named. It is the largest Bullring in Spain, with a total area of 45,800 square meters and capacity for 23,797 people. The Las Ventas Bullring was declared Historical-Artistic Heritage in 1994. The biggest event that the Las Ventas Bullring hosts is, without a doubt, the San Isidro Fair, which has consolidated it as the best bullring in the world.
The Bullfighting Museum of Madrid is Located in the Patio de Caballos in an emblematic section of the building and with a collection that offers a clear and harmonious vision of the history of bullfighting in Spain. His works include engravings of GoyA's bullfighting, 20th century bullfighter costumes, a section dedicated exclusively to Manolete and a huge sample of the testimonies of Las Ventas.
Within the visit route, from now on you will be able to enjoy some virtual reality points, in which the city is recreated in 360º several moments of the San Isidro Fair, including the entrance of the public to the plaza, moments of a bull fight and the exit on the shoulders of the bullfighters. These 360° Virtual Reality points They are located next to the gift shop.
In addition, you can feel like a bullfighter with our Virtual Bullfighting Game, an innovative game, unique in the world, which is located between points 3 and 4 of the route, on the upper floor of the Las Ventas bullring. With the Virtual Reality glasses and their controllers, our visitors will have the opportunity to use the muleta (red cape) and fight a brave bull, within the Las Ventas bullring itself, totally immersing themselves in the experience and playing the role of a real professional bullfighter.
