Málaga Cathedral combines various architectural styles: Gothic in its floor plan, Renaissance in its elevation and head and Baroque in its main façade and in the decoration. n of its covers. Because of its head it is the sister of those of Granada and Guadix, the Andalusian cathedrals of the 16th century, however because of its choir it must be related to the Choirs of Toledo and Córdoba, the three most important in Spain. In the choir of the Cathedral there is the stalls with 42 carvings, the work of Pedro de Mena. The north tower rises to 84 meters high, making it the second tallest cathedral in Andalusia, behind the Giralda in Seville. The south tower is unfinished, this condition gives the cathedral the nickname “ ""La Manquita"".
In the monument is the Cathedral Museum, located in the premises of the old Chapter House and which exhibits a magnificent collection of painting, sculpture and sumptuary art p>
Built on an old mosque, it is located in the historic center of the city. The works began in the first half of the 16th century, in the Gothic style, commissioned by the Catholic Monarchs and continued until the 18th century. It is an unfinished work because it is missing the finishing of the main façade and the south tower. Legend has it that the money intended for the completion of this tower was spent in financing the wars in America at the beginning of the 19th century.
