 The reconstruction and modernization of this neighborhood was an initiative of the Malagueñ people themselves ;os, who wanted to rehabilitate the area between Alameda Principal Avenue and the Heredia Pier. Soho is the Barrio de las Artes and has become the emblem of urban art and underground culture of the city.

The large graffiti that decorates the buildings in the neighborhood are, without a doubt, the most characteristic. The works are included in the so-called Maus project, which aims to turn the city into a large mural of artists from all over the world, artists such as Obey, author of the portrait of Obama with the legend Hope, D*face, whose urban interventions appear in New York and Barcelona and other urban artists equally protagonists of the neighborhood's views.

The Soho Walk not only discovers these examples of urban art but also the Contemporary Art Center (CAC), galleries of art, brewerieslike “El Rincón del Cervecero”, where in addition to serving traditional beers, they make their own beer, “ The Soho bar” a winery of Malaga wines and finally the “ Soho Caixa Bank Theater” the great personal commitment of Antonio Banderas with a rich programming aimed at all audiences.
