Highights

Through a thematic and chronological route, the new exhibition narrative in the Buenavista Palace allows the visitor to obtain a deeper knowledge of Picasso#39s artistic career, grouping his work in such a way that Enable understanding of your work processes. Thus, in the sixth transformation that has been carried out in the rooms of the Buenavista Palace since the museum opened its doors in 2003, a total of one hundred and twenty works are displayed until 2023, the result of the negotiation which ratifies the commitment of the Ministry of Culture and Heritage of the Junta de Andalucía with the Almine and Bernard Ruiz-Picasso Foundation for Art (FABA), which has been further renewed with a total of 162 works by Picasso that will be added during this time to the 233 in the art gallery#39s own collection.

In the historic heart of the city, very close to the Cathedral and the Roman Theater, the museum offers temporary exhibitions and organizes various educational and cultural programs. The permanent collection dedicated entirely to Picasso#39s work includes more than 200 works of art including paintings, sculptures, drawings, graphic works and ceramics that show the revolutionary innovations of his career, showing the rigor and the creative capacity of an artist essential to understanding the history of Western art.
