The classicist-style Palace, decorated with neo-baroque and Rococo elements, was created with a double function, as a home and as a museum, home to the collected works of art by the marquises and their sons, the Marquises of Villa-Huerta, during the numerous trips they made through Spain and Europe. There are more than 50,000 pieces that make up the collection, including paintings, sculptures, ceramics, glass, tapestries, furniture, coins, medals, drawings, prints, watches, weapons, armor, archaeological objects... ;
The main floor of the house is the greatest treasure of the palace, since it was dedicated to receptions, parties and dances and still retains its original decoration practically intact. On this floor you can see, decorated to perfection, the gala dining room, the armory, the office, the library, the bathroom that boasted running water facilities (something unusual). common at the time), or the dance hall, witness to numerous celebrations. A true gem that is very pleasant to walk through its different rooms.
Monday, January 1 and 6, December 24, 25 and 31
Located in the house of the Marquis of Cerralbo, so perfectly preserved that time seems to have stopped to show the visitor the way of life of an aristocratic family from the late 19th century to the early 20th century.
