Highights

Approximately 1,800 seats form the stage box with articulated platforms that offer the possibility of combining numerous scenarios that delight attendees.  The only floor dedicated to the public is “ the Rotunda” that completely surrounds the building. It houses four large rooms decorated in different tones and with elements from the National Heritage and the Prado Museum. Likewise, the lamps were manufactured in the real Granja Factory.

Long description

Located in a beautiful enclave in the Plaza de Oriente, in front of the Royal Palace. Since 1850, the date of its inauguration,  It was one of the most important theaters in Europe until its collapse caused it to remain closed for 41 years. In 1966 it reopened. as an auditorium and headquarters of the real Conservatory of Music and School of Dramatic Arts. Declared a National Monument in 1977, it was not until 1997, and after almost seven years of reforms, when it returned to the city. to be the Madrid headquarters of bel canto.
