Antoni Gaudí took advantage the renovation of a building on Passeig de Gràcia in Barcelona from 1875 to make one of his most daring works. The artist#39s imagination is the key to the direction of the project, as is the decorative work of the artisans who collaborated between 1904 and 1906. The polychrome circles of glazed ceramic and stained glass fragments, Placed precisely, they draw flowers and water lilies and play with the reflections of sunlight.
A large sandstone balcony on the first floor reveals the noble floor, while the other floors show balconies shaped like masks. Inside, the ceramic light well, the double attics and the roof with colorful chimneys, show a totally free, unlimited creativity and the effort to make a house functional and modern at the same time.
