Located on Paseo de Gràcia we find the Milà house. a modernist building adapted to new social needs, without forgetting Gaudí's source of inspiration: nature and organic forms.
It was commissioned by Pere Milà to Gaudí between 1906 and 1912, build a residential building. The architect built a space organized around two interior patios that provide ventilation and light to the floors. The prominence of curved shapes is resounding, both outside and outside. The facade of Casa Milà It is the sea in motion, where the waves play with the wrought iron algae that serve as railings for the balconies.
It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1984.

It is one of the most unique works and one of the best-known modernist buildings in the world by the brilliant Antoni Gaudí. It is known as the pedrera because of its resemblance to a quarry. You can visit the rooftop where the chimneys recall the silhouettes of warriors among the desert dunes, its interior patios, a period apartment and the attic where the Espai Gaudí museum space is located, structured with catenary arches of brick.
