Its owner Francesca Morera i Ortiz inherited the house of his uncle, Antoni Morera i Busó, but he died before seeing the reform completed. It was his son, Albert Lleó. i Morera, who took charge of the works, giving it the name by which it is known. The façade and the mezzanine were decorated with different ornaments, among which the sculptures by Eusebi Arnau stand out, representing two pairs of female figures, but which were destroyed in a renovation of the basement of the House. On the façade we find allusions to the family name, representing the mulberry flower. And it was crowned by a temple that exceeded in height what was allowed by the Barcelona City Council and for which permission had to be requested.  Modernism in the broad sense is found in the interior: stained glass, mosaics, sculptural ceramics, wood, marble, sgraffito, etc. The lobby and staircase also showcase applied modernist art.
