Highights

With great historical, architectural and  artistic It was the home of important noble families of Seville, the founders were the Pineda family who, due to economic needs, sold it to the Riberas to pay the ransom for Don Juan de Pineda, in the 15th century, who had been kidnapped by the Moors. In 1612 he passed at the hands of the House of Alba, thanks to the marriage between Antonia Enríquez de Ribera and Fernández Álvarez de Toledo, who would become the VI Duke of Alba. In the 19th century the Palace became in a neighbor's house, its compartmentalized living rooms, the coffered ceilings covered with ceilings and the patios in fruit orchards. One of the tenants and administrator of the place was Antonio Machado Álvarez, father of one of the great Spanish poets, Antonio Machado. In the 20th century, D. Jacobo Fitz-James, Stuart and Falcó XVII Duke of Alba and  ambassador of Spain, turns the Palace into a meeting place for members of European dynasties and diverse personalities from the world of culture, politics and international art.

The interior of the Palace includes great works of Sevillian brand, its tiles, tiles, ceramics, its bricks, as well as its such as, architectural jewels such as the 15th century Mudejar arches, the Chapel where the typical Sevillian tile plinths are preserved on the walls and in the altar, in addition to several Gothic windows . The ballrooms or Gypsy rooms feature works of art, furniture and family memorabilia. We must also highlight the patios, the one at the entrance, the lemon patio, the oil patio, Santa Justa and the pool, which stand out for their vegetation, with centuries-old cypresses, ficus, lemon and orange trees.

In the arch of the main entrance there is a the coat of arms of the Duchy of Alba in 17th century tiles.

Located in the historic center of Seville, the Palacio de Las Dueñas was built between the 15th and 16th centuries on the disappeared monastery of Santa María de las Dueñ ;as, from the one who took your name. It is undoubtedly one of the best examples of furniture architecture in Seville. Its halls contain 500 years of history, its patios have seen illustrious figures such as Antonio Machado grow up and figures such as the English politician and Hispanist, Lord Holland, Edward VIII and his brother George VI, have strolled through its gardens. Alfonso XIII, Jacqueline Kennedy, Wallis Simpson, Grace Kelly and her husband Rainier of Monaco, among others.
