Thanks to the actions to restore and enhance the building by the Fundación Per Amor a L'Art, was finally inaugurated in 2017 as a cultural center, adding to the manufacturing facilities, a refuge from the War Civillocated in the interior and some medieval cellars dating back to the 15th century that were discovered at the back of the plot during the rehabilitation project. The Bombas Gens Center d'Art cultural center took its name from the enormous building where it was installed that belonged to to the old Hydraulic Pumps factorya Carlos Gens SL inaugurated in 1930 and designed by the architect Cayetano Borso di Carminati. Next to these facilities we can still find the old mansion where he lived. the Gens family at the beginning of the 20th century but the importance of the industrial complex lies in the offices, warehouses and workshops that are part of the typology of iron architecture that was developed in this space until the final years of the 20th century.
