Highights

The Museum of Natural Sciences is organized around three thematic areas related to science and technology. nature of the province from the Renaissance to the present day, touching on topics of scientific knowledge and new technologies where objects such as optical and electron microscopes are exhibited. Another section called ""a classroom from other times"", pays tribute to all those personalities related to the scientific world who, with few resources, achieved countless innovations and followers. The part dedicated to the "" History of life and evolution "", shows us the different ages of our planet and the living beings that have inhabited it in these 4000 million years, giving great importance to the first collection that he had. the institution donated by Rodrigo Botet. In addition to these three thematic areas, the museum has other attractions for visitors such as malacology - a collection of mollusk shells assembled by Eduardo Roselló; Brú- or the urban apiary established in its gardens.

The Museum of Natural Sciences of Valencia is located in the building of an old restaurant inside the Jardines del Real,< /strong> also called nurseries. Thiscollection arose at the end of the 19th centurywith the paleontological donation made by Rodrigo Botet -the best example of South American fossils in all of Europe-, with fossils of American mammals from the Pleistocene, a conchological collection and an exhibition of ecosystems from Valencia. This museum aims to preserve, study and disseminate the city's scientific heritage through its innovative educational program, its temporary exhibitions and its cycles of symposiums where you can learn about the main sites. of dinosaurs and mammals of the province, among other topics.
