This museum is characterized by housing all types of objects related to the history of the city. The artifacts are classified in lithology -fragments of architecture, tombstones, stone shields and all types of elements made with this material-, archaeological remains -coming mainly from the archaeological excavations carried out in the city-, pictorial works - a vast collection of different artistic periods and origins-, sculptural works -most of it thanks to the donation of Miguel Martí Esteve acquired by the City Council -, engravings - a great representation of the Valencian print of the 18th and 19th centuries -, ceramics -composed of the finds of the year ;o 1947 and the collection of Francisco Mora Gallego-, objects of Sacred Art -mostly from wartime deposits-,furniture strong> - from the Martí collection Esteve-, forging and locksmithing, minor arts -with pieces such as miniatures, cameos, engravings, reliefs and bas-reliefs and a section on weights and measures. span>

The Museum of the City of Valencia is located in the Palacio del Marqués de Campo, also known as the Palace of the Counts of Berbedel and is located managed by the Historical and Cultural Heritage Service of the Valencia City Council since 1989. The institution was born with the objective of collecting and safeguarding the city's artistic collections composed of painting, sculpture, engravings and archaeological pieces, among others.
