This house built in the 16th century was inhabited by one of the most important poets and playwrights of the Golden Age, Lope de Vega. Due to the different owners who passed through this house, its original structure was lost. Already in 1935, on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of Lope's death, it was restored and converted into a museum, recreating the spaces where Lope wrote his works, his studio; his  bedroom, the oratory  which he himself prepared before being ordained a priest and has even been recreated  the garden of the house. Some of the furniture is original, donated by the convent  from Las Trinitarias where he taught one of his daughters.
