Highights

Roberto Polo was born in Havana, Cuba in 1951. He is a plastic artist, art collector, and philanthropist. In addition to sponsoring artists, he is a patron and donor to a multitude of cultural institutions such as the Louvre

This collection  is located in the old convent of Santa Fe built between the 9th and 18th centuries. so you can see different types of architecture from the palace   ;andalusí from the 9th centuries  to XI, Mudejar from the 13th century, residence  of Castilian monarchs such as Alfonso X the Wise, settlement of the Order of Calatrava. From the 16th century we have the Church of Santiago and from the 18th century the baroque central staircase, the work of El Greco's son Jorge Manuel Theotocópuli. In 2003 the building was rehabilitated by the Institute of Cultural Heritage

The artistic direction of CORPO falls to Rafael Sierra. The exhibition, designed by architect Juan Pablo Rodriguez Frade (National Prize for Restoration and Conservation of Cultural Assets), follows a chronological order from the mid-19th century to the present day. The exhibition Distributed in 12 rooms, it houses works by 171 artists. From  the historical avant-garde of eastern, central and northern Europe to contemporary Europeans and Americans. Informalist currents such as abstraction, constructivism, new realisms, surrealism are present. Center for modern and contemporary art (CORPO). Inaugurated on  March 27, 2019. It houses a private collection where you can see the evolution of art from the mid-19th century to the present day.
