The Almería Cinema House is located in the Casa de la Torre, a historic building built in the year 1866 belonging to the Balmas family and that the city council acquired with the aim of creating a museum where the long relationship of the province of Almería with the film world can be told, since it has been the setting for from movies, television series, commercials and music videos on countless occasions. In January 2011 this museum opened. It opened its doors to the public after undergoing a rehabilitation project by architect Ramón Torres and converting it into a modern exhibition space.
