Highights

-The Nicolás Salmerán Park, dedicated to the president of the First Republic of Spain, it is located parallel to the seashore on the site occupied by the old city wall. This green area is the oldest in the city and currently has numerous fountains and different types of trees such as ficus , palm trees, pines or palmettos.


-The garden area located on the Rambla Federico Garcí ;a Lorca occupies the place where he ran. the channel of the old boulevard until it was vaulted in the year 2000 and became in an important commercial and leisure area that crosses the city from north to south.


-The Alborán Park It is located in the Bay of Almería very close to the Mediterranean Games Palace. This green area was designed by Jose Ramón Espinosa with vegetation characteristic of the area such as palm trees, olive trees, pitas and pines.


-TheBoticario Park was designed to recreate the different landscapes of the province of Almería and is divided into theArabic Garden -with aromatic plants, trees fruit trees, bushes, and two water ponds-, the Forest Park -with different tree species, a humid area and a bird observatory-, the Rock Park strong> -with the geodiversity of the province-, and the Botanical Park -with a representation of the plant species of this land-.


-The Cabo de Gata Natural Park it extends through the municipalities of Almería, Níjar and Carboneras and forms an enormous natural space of volcanic origin where we can see sharp cliffs that originated when the magma reached the waters marine. The emblem of the park is thelighthousemade in the year 1860.


-TheAlmandrabillas Park It is located between the very important monuments of the English Cable and the sculpture complex dedicated to the Almeria Victims of the Holocaust. This green space is used for cultural and leisure activities such as music concerts or art exhibitions.


-The Family Park It is located on the old esplanade of the Almería Fairgrounds and is expressly dedicated to the enjoyment of the little ones as it has a large leisure space with a child and family character.


-Other parks of interest are the Park of the Generalife, the Palmeral Park, the Andarax Park, the Station Park, the Dog Park, the Gloria Fuertes Park and the Mediterranean Games Park.
