This museum has a broad vision of the city with a divided educational program in four spaces dedicated to the countryside, the sea, the salt flats and archaeology. The first room deals with the topic of agriculture in Roquetas< /strong> de Mar and the difficulties that it has had since the first settlers of the area due to the weather such as the lack of rain and storms or other phenomena caused by pests or fires. In addition, they have representative samples of farming tools, models of professions related to the countryside and the agricultural activities that continue to be carried out in the municipality. In the second space dedicated to the sea, topics such as piracy and fishing are covered with a sample of instruments to carry out this commercial activity and models of historical ships. In the third room we find information related to the Roman salt mines that were established in the area in the 3rd century and were found in the Turaniana site. The fourth room deals with All topics related to archaeology and the remains found belonging to sunken ships, defensive towers, and food containers. In addition, this museum has a documentation center and meeting rooms.
