Highights

They occupy an area of ​​2.66 hectares. In this place were the stables of the Royal Palace, the work of Francesco Sabatini (hence the name) After the proclamation of the Second Republic the properties of the Crown were seized and transferred to the Madrid City Council, which uses it as a public park. The architect Fernando García Mercadal began its construction in 1935 by arranging gardens at various heights in which its fountain, flower beds and bushes stand out. After the break during the Civil War, the works were completed in the 1950s. In 1970 they were transformed and opened again in 1978. This garden is one of the most beautiful in Madrid. the Austrias. The statues of kings originally intended to decorate the cornice of the Royal Palace stand out.
