Madrid Río is a walk of about 7km that runs from Paseo de la Florida, near the hermitage from S.Antonio, where is buried Goya, to the Matadero in the Plaza de Legazpi. Frequented by athletes and walkers, along its route it has historic and modern bridges among which the Segovia Bridge, the Toledo Bridge and the Perrault Bridge stand out, an icon of the Madrid Río, and several viewpoints such as the one at Huerta de la Partida, near the S.Vicente roundabout. The renaturation of the Manzanares has made possible the planting of different riverside species and a large number of trees and aromatic plants. Its children's play areas have earned Madrid the award” "Golden Swing." Inside is the famous beach of Madrid with three different types of jets that cool pedestrians in the hottest months of the year. In 2007 the new Matadero was inaugurated with a great cultural offer, cinemas, theater, exhibitions and restaurants. Inside you can visit the Crystal Palace,  greenhouse of Arganzuela,  created in 1992, which has more than 9,000 plants and 800 species that make it the largest in Madrid.
