This historic property has survived to this day with hardly any modifications because after the death of Hernando de Zafra, a new building was built. theconvent of Santa Catalina de Siena which was added to the structure of the building and has maintained the Moorish essence of the entire architectural complex. Nowadays, if we visit the Albaicín Interpretation Center we can see the Arabic structure and numerous remains such as the pool with a double patio arranged like in the Alhambra, pillars, arches and paintings from the Nasrid period.

In the building we highlight theupper part that was added at the end of the 14th century due to the need to increase the dimensions of the houses to provide shelter to all the Muslims who came to the Kingdom of Granada after the Christian conquests and which today offers us one of the best views of the Alhambra, and its entrance into bendthat reminds us of the importance of exterior sobriety and interior richness in Muslim homes.
