Since the year 1868 the Monumental Complex ofthe Alhambra became on state property, heritage awareness began to come to life. In the year 1870, part of the Hispano-Muslim Art Collection began to be placed in some rooms of the Renaissance Palace of Emperor Charles V and in the surrounding area. of the Palacios de los Leones and Comares. Little by little, the exhibition will be integrated into the within the conception of a museum at the beginning of the 20th century that, since 1995, has been located on the ground floor of the Palace of Charles V. It highlights collections of >ceramics, objects such as sun dials, books of the Koran or decorative elements from the city of Granada.
