The building that houses the collections was built in the 18th century in a neoclassical style, it has two floors and along the History has had different uses as a wine cellar, coal cellar and donkey rental headquarters and currently shares the headquarters of the Museum of Holy Week Passes in Bilbao and that of the Brotherhood of Penitential Brotherhoods of the Villa. On the ground floor we can contemplate the permanent exhibition with the following steps: El Borriquito, The Last Supper, Prayer in the Garden, The Arrest, Jesus before Annas, The Scourges, The Crowning with Thorns, Ecce-Homo, Jesus with the cross on his back, The Meeting, The Three Crosses, The Descent and Christ Recumbent. In addition, there are various carvings of images that remain exposed to worship in their respective temples and spaces to display the objects of each Brotherhood.
Monday, Easter and weeks before and after
The Holy Week Steps Museum was inaugurated in the year 2001 under a project in which the Bilbao City Council participated , the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and the Brotherhood of Brotherhoods. This large exhibition center of more than 800 square meters was located in the old warehouse of the city with the aim of showing the visitor the Steps that make up the VĂacute ;a Crucis of the Passion of Christ during Holy Week in Bilbao.
