Highights
The chronological tour of the museum's collections begins in prehistory and extends to the present day. On this path we found about 500 pieces, some of them being archaeological objects from excavations carried out in Bizkaia. In this exhibition we will be able to see funerary steles from the 1st to 4th centuries, votive axes, everyday utensils such as pots, keys and coins, religious sculptures, etc. Today the museum program ;fico has interactive multimedia and audiovisual panels that help understand and disseminate the museum's concepts.

The modern Archaeological Museum of Bilbao was inaugurated in the year 2008 on the Calzadas de Mallona in Bilbao, in the old Lezama Train Station, occupying a space of more than 3000 square meters. Currently, the permanent exhibition is spread over two floors and aims to disseminate knowledge of the history of the territory, connecting the past with the present society.
