Highights
The property has two splendid facades that show Modernism in the city of Salamanca. The one that faces the river combines classic and modern elements with typologies of iron and glass, the one that looks inward has influences from Art Belgian Nouveau with ornate railings based on floral and aquatic motifs. Long description
The one known as Casa Lis de Salamanca is a Museum of Decorative Arts from the period of Art Nouveau and Art Déco with works between the end of the 19th century and the middle of the 20th century. This house had various owners until it was expropriated. by the city council to use it as the headquarters of the House of Culture at first and as a museum of applied arts after the donation of the print collection by Manuel Ramos Andrade. It currently has nineteen collections and has become one of the most visited places in the city.
