Highights
This research center is located in the city of Salamanca because here was established The headquarters of the Francisco Franco General Headquarters were located in the first years of the war and there were gathered numerous documents on the enemy side that were later expanded with the Anti-Communist Investigation and Propaganda Officeand the National Delegation of Special Affairs. On April 26, 1938, the company was created. the State Delegation for Recovery of Documents to provide the State with any information requested about the people who were in the documents in its archive, continuing with the selection and treatment of documents seized in republican territory. In the period of transition to Democracy that occurred with the death of Franco, the documents were integrated into the Archive of the Ministry of Culture in the "Civil War Section". /strong>

In 2007 this Documentary Center of Historical Memory was created with the aim of preserving the documentary collections of the General Archive of the Civil War that has those between the years 1936 and 1978. This institution aims to serve as a tool for research, culture and general information of one of the most important periods in the history of Spain and of greater significance she has had since her pregnancy.
