Highights
This museum is located in a historic building that was the first electricity production plant that Salamanca had and today we can You can see about 90 pieces in its rooms since the rest of the pieces are in the warehouses although they rotate with some frequency to make all of them available to the public. Some of thehighlighted pieces of the collection with the Pegaso Z-102 "Saoutchik", the tricycle patented by the German engineer Karl Benz that is Considered the first vehicle powered by an internal combustion engine in history, a 1922 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost, a Cadillac Fleetwood 75 that belonged to to the dictator Francisco Franco, or the jewel of the collection, a Hispano-Suiza from 1930 in its original condition. On the other hand, the Museum has other facilities such as a library, newspaper library, video library, archive and rooms for holding temporary exhibitions.

The Automotive History Museum of Salamanca was inaugurated in 2002 as the first public museum in Spain dedicated to the world of automobiles. motor and automobile. Most of thefundsof this institution belong to thearchitect Demetrio Gómez Plancheand his family who were < strong>gathering for more than 40 years copies of cars, motorcycles, documents and all kinds of accessories. Today, the Museum has more than 200 examples as the collection has been expanded with vehicles donated by the General Directorate of Traffic, the Iveco Pegaso Historical Center and individuals.
