settled different areas of the current Castilla y León before the arrival of the Romans. These communities based their economy on livestock so they granted a enormous power to animalsand all those figures that represented them. These boars sculpted by them usually represent pigs, bulls and wild boars and it is believed that they served to delimit paths, as religious offerings or as borders. In the case of Salamanca The zoomorphic figure has dimensions of about two meters in length and one and a half meters in height and unfortunately, it has suffered a lot throughout history since in the 19th century it was thrown into the river. ;o and was later the object of some acts of vandalism.
