This museum is one of the 4 museums that form part of the archaeological route of the Caesaraugusta museums. Declared an Asset of Cultural Interest and inaugurated in 2003. In it we can see remains of the best preserved theater of the city and virtually we can immerse ourselves in the scenic representations of Roman cities
The theater is the best preserved monument in Caesaraugusta. Built in the 1st century during the reign of Tiberius, it had capacity for 6,000 spectators. The discovery occurred by chance in 1972 when the construction of a building began. The visit begins with a documentary about the archaeological excavations. developed over thirty years, as well as as seven panoramic views where you can appreciate its historical evolution. It ends with explanations about the history of the site. , from its abandonment to its discovery and the different cultures that occupied it. (different domestic environments from the Muslim, Jewish and Christian periods have been recreated)
