Baroque style basilica located in the old part of San Sebastián. Inside Gothic, Churrigueresque and neoclassical elements are mixed
Built between 1743 and 1774 It stands out for its bell towers and baroque façade, with a sculpture of San Sebastián Mártir and the papal shield. Inside we can admire the main altarpiece dedicated to the Virgin of the Choir, patron saint of the city and to San Sebastian. Eduardo Chillida gave a modernist cross that we can see inside. In August an international festival takes place with concert artists from all over the world who come to play the famous Cavaille organ installed in 1860. The most important festivities such as San Sebastian Day are celebrated in this Basilica. ;n (January 20), that of the Virgin (August 15) and the day of the Virgin of the Choir (September 8)
