This museum, formerly the Naval Museum, is located in the port of San Sebastián in the Casa Torre del Consulado. Dedicated to conservation, study and dissemination of Basque maritime history and heritage through temporary exhibitions and cultural programs
The building that has housed this museum since 1991 is from the 18th century and one of the few that was saved. of the burning of San Sebastián at the hands of Anglo-Portuguese troops.
The museum has two rooms where the different long-term temporary exhibitions are presented. The museum collection has about 6,000 pieces including paintings, photographs, engravings, nautical charts, navigation instruments, boats, plans and ethnographic objects.
