This museum inside the cathedral houses archaeological remains from Roman times to the present day as well as like the Royal Pantheon
Founded in 1928 .At first it was formed with works commissioned by Robustiano Sández, canon of the Cathedral. Little by little the collections and funds were expanded thanks to the findings of the archaeological excavations. The museum is spread over four floors: It begins with the origins of the cathedral, from the moment the remains of the apostle's tomb were found until the 18th century. One of the plants is dedicated to the art of the cathedral. In the second one is the cloister and the Chapel of the Relics, as well as the such as the “Cathedral Treasury”, the Botafumeiro and the Library. In the Crypt The Kings of Galicia are buried. On its top floor, the museum houses a collection of tapestries of incalculable value based on cartoons by Goya, Teniers and José José. del Castillo
