Departing from Madrid, enjoy this private tour half-day with a < strong>official guide where we will visit El Monasterio del Escorial, considered the eighth wonder of the world and Toledo, the city of the Three Cultures and World Heritage Site.
The visit begins with the pick-up of the guide at the agreed time and place. A private vehicle will take us to the hotel. to the town of San Lorenzo del Escorial, where we will visit the imposing monastery created by Philip II in 1584. We will visit the jewel of the Monastery, the Library, with more than 40,000 volumes written in several languages and its impressive frescoes painted by Pellegrino Tibaldi. We will enter the Basilica to see the frescoes and cenotaphs of Charles V and Philip II. We will continue the visit to the monastery, contemplating the vault of Luca Giordano, we will tour the chapter houses with paintings by Titian, Velázquez, El Greco, among others. And we will go down to the pantheons of the infants and kings.
Then we will continue with our itinerary towards Toledo. After taking a panoramic view of the city, we will leave you free time for lunch, on your own. We will resume the visit walking through the old town until we reach the Primate Cathedral, where we will show you the incredible artistic and historical heritage that it houses inside. From here We will head to the Jewish Quarter, walking through the narrow, cobblestone streets until we find the Church of Santo Tomé. that keeps inside the painting “ The Burial of the Count of Orgaz, masterpiece of the famous painter El Greco.
Once the visit is over we will leave free time and return to Madrid
