The House of the Corregidor is a building located in the old town of the city. It is a stately building built in 1552, which stands out for its stone façade emblazoned with a three-arched viewpoint, where Gothic and Renaissance elements are combined. The ceiling is in the Mudejar style and also contains fresco murals.
As its name makes clear, the building was the residence of the Corregidor, that is, the representative of the Crown: in The Casa del Corregidor mainly made administrative decisions linked to the economic development of the municipality, although its functions were often also those of a court
The house is located in the Plaza de los Naranjos next to two other historical buildings: the Town Hall and the Ermita de Santiago.
