Since 2010 theNational Army Museum has been located in the Alcázar of Toledo. In its rooms are treasured centuries of history told through the uniforms, weapons and objects for military use that have been preserved and increasing since the creation of the Royal Military Museum in 1803.

The Alcázar rises in one of the highest points of the city of Toledo, which is why it has witnessed the future of the city. Inside it preserves archaeological remains that date back to us. its occupation from early times. from Roman times support the existence of Roman occupation of this place in the city
Since the end of the 19th century, the Alcázar has been under construction. linked to the military branch, although in 1936 it suffered a siege which ends up resulting in its destruction.
The latest renovation is from a recent period to be able to move the Army Museum, of the which is home today.
