The City of Arts and Sciences is a huge architectural space inaugurated in 1998 composed of several buildings with the aim of serving as a place of leisure and culture< /strong> for the numerous visitors it has every day. This complex was designed by the famous architects Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela and the engineers Alberto Domingo and Carlos Lázaro following the guidelines of the project of Doctor Antonio Ten Ros that included: with a team of fifty-six scientists from the most diverse fields of knowledge.
This space is located at the end of the old bed of the Turia River, what is known today as the Turia Garden and has different infrastructures such as L'Hemisfèric - a building with eye-shaped that is used as an IMAX movie projection room with a 900-square-meter concave screen, a planetarium with astronomical representations and entertainment shows, and Laser-, the Pristine Science Museum ;ncipe Felipe -an interactive museum where numerous educational activities and animations related to the world of science and technology are carried out-, L'Umbracle -a garden walk where you can contemplate different plant species, contemporary sculptures and a viewpoint that shows us all the buildings in the complex -, the Oceanográfic -the largest aquarium in Europe with 110,000 square meters, 42 million liters of water, a dolphinarium and a underwater restaurant-, the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía -dedicated to music and the performing arts-, thel'Assut de l'or Bridge and the Agora - a covered plaza for holding events.
