The Museum of Artistic Reproductions of Bilbao was built in the year 1927 under the initiative of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and the Bilbao City Council who tried to get in touch with the reproduction workshops of the most interesting European museums to acquire reproductions of their most important sculptural works. ;s famous and today it has become a world-renowned museum of its kind as it has copies of the most famous works of all time.
The funds of this museum have passed through different locations such as the Berastegui Schools, the San Francisco Schools and the Church of the Heart of Mary, the current location of the collection. ;n since 2006. In the permanent exhibition we can find exact replicas of great masterpieces of the sculpture that is They are found in prestigious museums in London, Paris, Berlin or Munich. Today the Victory of Samothrace, the Venus de Milo, the Laocoön, the Venus of the Esquiline, The Fighters, the Apollo of Belvedere, the Child of the Thorn, the Torso of Belvedere or the Moses by Michelangelo, among others.
