The Bilbao Bullfighting Museum was inaugurated in the year 1995 in the premises of the famous Bullring of Vista Alegre with the aim of discussing the history of bullfighting in the region. Currently you can visit its temporary exhibitions and the permanent in addition to other rooms of the Bullring such as the Chapel, the Bullfighters' Room, the corrals and the dining room.
The museographic program of this museum is divided by themes related to bullfighting activity: the bullfighting of the illustration, the bullfighters of romanticism, the bullfighters of the ninety-eight and the era of "Guerrita", the so-called silver age that reached the generation of the Second Republic, the era of "Manolete", the 50s and the ;time of "El Cordobés". Through this thematic tour we will find engravings, paintings, posters, models, photographs, costumes of lights and capes of right-handed people involved in the square and large stuffed bulls, among other objects.
