The Contemporary Art Center is known by the name of Domus Artium DA2, which was inaugurated in 2020 with the aim of have a place dedicated to contemporary art so in demand in the city. In this space all types of visual, performing and musical arts coexist, offering a wide range of programming throughout the year.
On the occasion of the European Cultural Capital held in the city in 2002, the Salamanca City of Culture and Knowledge Foundation inaugurated This cultural space is located in the old provincial prison, preserving original elements such as the cell doors and the iron grille. Nowadays It has a library, conference room, shop, cafeteria-restaurant and playroom. In one of its rooms, it houses the Contemporary Visions project, an exhibition cycle curated by Playtime Audiovisuales that brings closer each year. brings to the museum the work of three artists linked to the latest trends in film and video in Spain and participates in events of enormous importance such as the International Festival of the Arts of Castilla y León or Salamanca Plaza Mayor.
Tuesday to Friday from 12:00 to 14:00 and from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
