The well-known Bullfighting Museum of the city of Salamanca was inaugurated in 1993 thanks to the efforts made by theFederation of Bullfighting Clubs of Salamanca "Helmántica" with the aim of giving the value that the traditional festival of bulls and the bullfighters of the Salamanca world deserved. The museum's funds come from theBullfighting Commission that compiled the different objectsrelated to the world of bullfighting from private collections of bullfighters, ranchers and fans. Nowadays, It has become a modern cultural space with a museographic discourse in keeping with the times.
The Salamanca Bullfighting Museum is located in a space provided by the city council where the sculpture of "El Viti" stands out, located in its abroad. Inside the property we can find objects and documents related to the bullfighting world. In recent years there has been institution is making many efforts to have innovative actions such as the "Itinerant Museum", temporary exhibitions in different places in the province, the holding of conferences, the celebration of galas and presentations of awards, etc., with the aim of making known all the values of this ancient tradition related to local identity.
Tuesday to Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sundays from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
